Turkish Competition Board initiated an investigation on 29 August 2019 on OSEM Sertifikasyon A.Ş. and Insurance Association of Turkey following a preliminary inquiry based on allegations that OSEM’s standard setting and certification services for damage repair centers and equivalent part suppliers and OSEM’s activities regarding mass purchase of spare parts had restricted competition; and the damage management system named Osem Portal would make transparent the information sensitive for competition contrary to Article 4 of the Competition Act No. 4054 prohibiting anti-competitive agreements, practices and decisions.
