The European Commission confirmed that it had conducted unannounced inspection on 15 January 2018 in one company operating in the kraft paper sector in one member state. The inspection, conducted due to concerns that the company might have infringed Article 101 of the Treaty on the Functioning of the EU, was part of an investigation in the kraft paper and industrial paper sack sector where previous on the spot inspections were carried out in 2016 and 2017.
