The European Commission sent Amazon a statement of objections for using systematically non-public seller data in a way to favor its own retail business, thereby infringing EU antitrust rules in online retail markets. In addition, European Commission initiated a second investigation on Amazon due to its preferential treatment for its own retail offers and those offers by sellers using Amazon’s logistics and delivery services.
