European Commission fines Guess approx. € 40 million

The European Commission fined clothing company Guess approx. €40 million as it restricted online advertising and cross border sales by retailers to customers located in other Member States in the EU, contrary to European competition rules. As a result of distribution agreements of Guess retail prices of Guess’ products were 5-10% higher in Central and Eastern European Member States compared to those in Western European Member States.
