The Turkish Competition Board imposed an administrative fine of TL 17,497,141.63 on Trakya Cam Sanayii A.Ş. for violating Articles 4 and 6 of the Competition Act No. 4054 as the undertaking actually implemented the dealership distribution agreements in 2016 which according to a previous decision of the Competition Board (dated 2.12.2015 and numbered 15-42/704-258) had violated the Competition Act No.4054. In addition, the Competition Board withdrew the benefit of exemption granted by a prior decision of the Competition Board (dated 24.01.2013 and numbered 13-07/73-42) regarding the Industrial Customer Purchasing Contract concluded with industrial customers. Finally the Competition Board required Trakya Cam Sanayii A.Ş. to inform its existing 18 dealers in written form that they could sell across Turkey as there was no territorial exclusivity.
