Fatma Gözlükaya Angı worked for Turkish Competition Authority from 2001 until 2010 as assistant competition expert and competition expert, and practiced as a competition law enforcement officer on cases especially concerning telecommunications, media and ICT sectors through continuous market research and legal analysis of the cases regarding competition law infringements, mergers and acquisitions, such as: investigations regarding restrictive behaviours of communication companies, ISPs, cable TV operators and several ICT firms, including (Turkcell, Türk Telekom, Microsoft), privatization of Türk Telekomünikasyon A.Ş. (public monopoly in PSTN). Besides Fatma Gözlükaya Angı participated study groups of legal regulations prepared by TCA.
After she resigned from TCA, Fatma Gözlükaya Angı continued her professional life as a lawyer and represented her clients in several administrative and commercial cases.
Fatma Gözlükaya Angı graduated from Ankara University Law Faculty and made her masters’ degree on commercial at the same school. Accordingly she complete her LLM at University of London, Queen Mary College, where she made studies on competition law, telecommunications law and IP law.
